It is Sharon's natural, honest communication style which has set the standard for the way things are done at Adapt. She is a listener and a learner, with a tremendous drive towards improving the standard of people development, whether it's in the corporate world - or just because it's the right thing to do.
With more than 15 years' experience in the field of learning and development, Sharon somehow retains her passion for the work, and generously shares this commitment with colleagues, clients and associates.
Sharon has many specialist areas - including Performance Improvement, Behavioural Development and Executive Coaching.
As an Executive Coach, Sharon is highly qualified, but in addition, has the ability to go way beyond the traditional or formal coaching models. She says, "The key to coaching is building trust and rapport. Through a process of agreeing key outcomes, offering the appropriate balance between support and challenge and working towards self development in a climate of trust, clients achieve the desired results."
Sharon Sands is a Certified Master Practitioner of NLP, a qualified Management Development and Executive Coach and has a Masters in Business Human Dynamics from the University of California. Current coaching clients include directors and executives at all levels in public and private sector organisations.
Just three of her recent projects include developing a totally new method of embedding coaching into a banking organisation, developing a field-based leadership coaching programme in the luxury goods market and delivering leadership programmes across a major government organisation.
Three years ago, Sharon invited Aly King to join her at Adapt, followed soon after by Liz Dawson. They can now rightly boast that they form a highly effective, client-focused team, with a great skill mix - as the commercial Aly shouts about clients' need for measurement, evaluation and ROI, while Liz calmly sorts out where they're actually supposed to be, with whom and when!
